Abstract The mere marketing of firms as environmentally friendly does not mean that the are genuinely green. In this paper, we propose a new measure, Green Score , to capture firms’ investment in green human capital based on concentration skills required job postings. First, find increase their have higher future profitability. Second, generate more patents, and those patents quality receive citations. Third, traditional ratings widely used evaluate environmental efforts do consider . Overall, our action-based measure is simpler less subjective it offers larger time-series variation than disclosure-based ratings.
